National Volunteer Week: Your Chance to Give Back

National Volunteer WeekNational Volunteer Week is April 19 - 25. The week was designated to honor people who get involved, give back, take action and solve problems in their communities.

What better way to get involved and give back to your community than to volunteer for a free clinic in your area? Or find other volunteer opportunities that interest you. Whatever you decide to do, WhereToFindCare.com thanks you!

  1. As a former Director of Volunteers at at hospital for over 5 years, I learned a lot about the "invisibility" volunteers often feel and how the organization assumes they feel appreciated, and miss the link to satisfy the volunteer's need for appreciation. It takes a simple visit, kind word and a GENUINE expression of appreciation to retain volunteers - not a once-a-year event. They are an amazing group (those who genuinely commit to serve - not just to meet a personal motive) and I salute them! I saw that there is life beyond what we give professionally in our careers that makes a difference - both while still working and while retired.
