Milestones for your child's development

CDC Children Milestone MomentsThe CDC has developed an excellent new guidebook that details by age groups milestones you child/grandchild should reach.

It offers information for social/emotional, language/communication, Cognitive (problem solving), and Movement/Physical Development.

The green bar at the bottom of each age group shows specific signs to look for and discuss with your pediatrician.

For example, the signs listed for your child at age 1 are:
Doesn’t crawl
Can’t stand when supported
Doesn’t search for things that she sees you hide
Doesn’t point to things
Doesn’t learn gestures like waving or shaking head
Doesn’t say single words like “mama” or “dada”
Loses skills he once had

The helpful guide gives tips on how you can help you child learn and grow.

Let me know what you think about this guide.
